From Tracking Data to Using Data: Your CRM Readiness Check

A lot of organizations are sitting on important data in spreadsheets, forms, and scattered files—but aren’t sure how to turn that information into something more useful. This webinar will help participants assess whether their current setup is enough, whether they’re ready for a CRM, and what needs to be in place before making that move. We’ll break down the difference between simply collecting data and actually using it to strengthen services, decisions, and impact. The goal is simple: help organizations figure out what comes next without overcomplicating it.

Alex Montgomery is the Senior Director of CASL Impact & Advocacy at CASL bringing more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience leading nonprofit organizations through growth, operational change, and strategic transformation. Alex is passionate about helping organizations grow, evolve, and navigate change in ways that strengthen both mission and impact. She brings a strategic, big-picture perspective grounded in deep operational experience.

Chrisazil (Khriza) Santos is a data and systems leader at the Chinese American Service League (CASL), where she bridges the gap between program operations, data strategy, and technology. Her work centers on building practical systems that help teams move from scattered spreadsheets and manual processes toward stronger data collection, reporting, visualizations and decision-making.

In 2025, we piloted a 3-part training series dedicated to resource development. We held space for three phenomenal facilitators to discuss 1) Fundraising, 2) Grant-writing, and 3) Reporting and Evaluation.

We are offered free virtual workshops to build capacity for organizers, community leaders, and movement builders to identify existing and new resources, strategize on their specific lanes for resource development, and ideate about how they can tell the story of their work in culturally-significant ways.
