Where We Are

Over the past year, NQAPIA has faced a convergence of crises that few in the nonprofit sector have seen at this scale. We lost two major funders without warning. Grant opportunities across the field have shrunk. And, LGBTQ+ funding, already scarce, is being restricted further, just as our communities need it most. To stay afloat, we made one of the hardest decisions in our organization's 20+ year history: we reduced our staff by half and cut hours for those who remain.

We share this with you plainly because we believe our community deserves the truth. NQAPIA's survival is not guaranteed. But we are not giving up, and we are asking you not to give up on us either.

Our Fundraising Goal

To ensure NQAPIA’s survival and longevity, we must raise $350,000.

We aim to reach this goal through two specific fundraising efforts:

  • Raising $250,000 through sustainability partners and foundations

  • Raising $100,000 through grassroots efforts

What We Are Asking

We are asking you to become a Sustainability Partner and make a meaningful contribution to help us bridge this moment so that the infrastructure we've spent over 20 years building does not disappear.

We are also asking you to sign onto our letter of support that we will be sharing with our funders to reflect the breath and depth of our ecosystem.
