In Loving Memory of Marsha Aizumi

The National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance (NQAPIA) and our extended community mourn the passing of Marsha Aizumi, a fierce ally and champion of our movement.

As a founding parent of NQAPIA's Family Acceptance Campaign, she tirelessly advocated for families to embrace their LGBTQ+ children with compassion. For countless queer AAPI individuals, Marsha became the mother we needed offering love, understanding, and a powerful voice when ours felt small.

Her legacy is one of fearless love and transformative advocacy. We honor her heart, which became a home for so many. May her memory inspire us to continue building a world rooted in love, compassion, and acceptance.

To honor Marsha’s legacy, the Aizumi family kindly asks that donations be made to Okaeri in lieu of koden or flowers.
