We have shared this invitation to attend the NQAPIA Southern Regional Summit April 4-6 in Atlanta with all our friends in the South. If you know anyone in the area who would be interested, we are open for business in Atlanta! Information on registration is below!
The National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance (NQAPIA) is pleased to invite you to our upcoming NQAPIA Southern Regional Summit: A Training and Issue Briefing for Asian American, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Pacific Islander (AAPI) lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) Community Organizations. This year, instead of doing one national Summit, we are looking forward to expanding our presence in localities around the country by doing five regional Summits. We are particularly excited to come to the South and explore opportunities to build new partnerships with AAPI LGBTQ leaders in the region.
This year’s Southern Regional Summit will take place on April 4-6, 2014 at the Center for Pan Asian Community Services, 3510 Shallowford Rd, NE, Chamblee, GA 30341. Your participation is very important to us and we hope you can take part.
Information about the Summit and the registration process is below, including the link that you MUST fill out in order to register. Early registration ends on March 31 and is open to participants from throughout the South. NQAPIA will take steps to ensure inclusion of traditionally underrepresented constituencies based on gender, ethnicity, geography, and age.
Participants may register via this link. A small registration fee ($35 before March 31) will cover meals and Summit materials. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds- e-mail <firstname.lastname@example.org> to inquire about registration support.
All participants are asked to arrive on Friday, April 4. The Summit will run all day Saturday, April 5 and will end on Sunday, April 6 at approximately 3pm. Social activities are being planned for Friday and Saturday nights.
Since lodging, meals, and registration are pre-arranged, NQAPIA will not be able to make reimbursements to individuals. Please be prepared to cover any out of pocket expenses.
