NQAPIA, in partnership with queer and trans* API organizations across the country, is hosting a #RedefineSecurity Week of Action from May 7-15, 2016.

We have three main goals:

  1. Call for an end of legalized profiling and policing in queer & trans* API communities, and all communities of color
  2. Lift up the stories of queer and trans* APIs who experience profiling based on race/ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, etc.
  3. Challenge our investments in policing, especially around Pride, and reimagine alternative forms of safety

We are planning actions in LA, Chicago, Boston, Seattle, the Bay Area, NYC, DC, and New Orleans. Please help us spread the word!
