Quarterly Briefing:  NQAPIA was pleased to welcome Congressmember-Elect Mark Takano (D-CA) to our final Quarterly Briefing for 2012- “12/12/12 Better By the Dozen.” Congressman-Elect Takano and Jason Tengco from the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders joined our teleconference with participants from across the country to talk about issues of concern.  Congressman-Elect Takano talked about his personal experiences as the first openly LGBT Asian American to be elected to the Congress, and Jason talked about the White House’s work on a number of issues, including the fiscal cliff.

Much thanks to Congressmember-Elect Takano and Jason Tengco, and to everyone who joined us for the call!
